We normally train in small workgroups of up to six personnel at one time to ensure that each individual receives the attention required by our professionally qualified training insructors. Overall Equipment Effectiveness at Goodrich Actuation Systems. In order to maintain a competitive edge as a world class manufacturing company Goodrich adopted Shanks Group to train key personnel in the skills of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), allowing the key personnel to roll out the training to other company associates. The Goodrich team were able to gain specialized knowledge regarding OEE including; History of the OEE metric and calculation of the metric via worked samples, dealing with minor stoppages, learning from breakdowns, dealing with speed loss, using equipment to build in quality and using worksheets for equipment management. The candidates also completed a presentation on how they intended to use the OEE improvement programme to benefit their manufacturing facility.

Process Improvement at Network Rail and 'ONE' Railway. 'one' works together with Network Rail in order to improve the passenger's traveling experience by increasing punctuality and driving down delay minutes. 'one' enlisted the services of Shanks Group to assist the company with better data analysis techniques by training associates in the use of Statistical Process Control to analyze the data to detect minor changes in data and ascertain whether the changes detected are an improvement or deterioration. The associates of both companies also benefited from gaining an understanding of capability analysis to determine the functionality of their facilities and understand through the analysis of data using proper statistical techniques the impact felt by customers using the services provided by 'one' and Network Rail.
